Raze - Bass Power (Remix)

Here's a little bio about Raze..."Spearheaded by New York multi-instrumentalist Vaughan Mason, Raze was formed in 1986 as a studio/concept group were the idea was to have a different lead singer on each song. Mason hooked up with soul singer Keith Thompson in the studio for "Break 4 Love", considered by many to be one of the best house songs ever recorded. And Thompson was only 25 years old when they recorded it in 1987! It was the group's only song that made it to urban radio, debuting on October 22, 1988 at #24 for 16 weeks. Mason would move to D.C., setting up his Grove Street Records studio."

Coro - Coro

Coro is a Latin freesyle singer and actor of Cuban and Dominican heritage, who first had roles in numerous episodes of the star's hit television series, Miami Vice. While appearing on Vice, Coro struggled to put together a group to get his singing career off the ground. His first efforts never took off, but in 1987, Coro met freestyle sensation Stevie B, who was enjoying the success of his first hit record and getting ready to tour. After a stint as a backup vocalist and dancer for Stevie B, the New York-born and Miami-raised Coro made the move back to his native Manhattan to initiate a solo singing career.

Success came quickly to Coro as he hooked up with freesyle music producers Zahid Tariq and Todd Terry in 1989, and found the creative partners he had been searching for. The result was the release of Coro's first single, "Where Are You Tonight", an emotional, uptempo freestyle track which soon became the #1 dance record in New York and Florida. The song reached the Top 25 on Billboard's club chart and put Coro on the road doing shows in dance clubs across the country. On his self-titled debut album, Coro collaborated with producer Zahid Tariq to create a selection of uptempo dance tunes like "Can't Let You Go", "Where Are You tonight", "My Fallen Angel" and tender, emotive ballads such as "Missing You", all of which have the distinct Latin flavor that has come to be Coro's musical signature.

Since then, Coro is currently in the studio working with numerous producers and focused on reentering the world of television and movies.

B.G. The Prince Of Rap - Take Control Of The Party

I never got much,or at all, into B.G. The Prince Of Rap. Primarily because I didn't think he had much credibility to be a rapper to begin with, IMO. But did dig his "This Beat Is Hot" track because of the beat was hot, lol! Anyway, this cd single I got at the time is because, hey: MAW & Todd Terry. 'nuff said, no? I'm digging more the "Sinister Dub" than the others. What do y'all think? Enjoy!
Here's a little about B.G.:

"B.G. the Prince of Rap sang in stage productions and choirs while growing up in Washington, D.C., but enrolled in the military soon after graduation. By 1985, he was serving in Germany, and gradually became interested in rap instead of the R&B he had listened to as a child. He began performing in Frankfurt, and won several rapping competitions; his first single, "Rap to the World" (given dancefloor energy by Jam & Spoon's Jam El Mar and second producer Stefan Benz), scored in German clubs. "This Beat Is Hot," B.G.'s second single, hit number six on the country's charts and crossed over to America as well, reaching number 35. It gained him a contract with Epic Records, who released his album, The Power of Rhythm, in 1992. A sophomore effort, This Is How We Do It, was released two years later."
