Free Lossless Audio Codec (.Flac)

I was chatting with someone online yesterday and he uses this type of audio format for his music, He explained to me alittle about it since I don't know much about it. Suppose to be better quality then mp3s, better bass, better treble on your audio files. So I Figure I bring it up to you guys on the blog and see if any of you know about .flac and if you use it. The person I chatted with wants to contribute to the blog but he doesn't have any of his music in mp3 fomat. Well Here's some information about .flac. ---12inchjunkie

Hey 12inch yes I know what .flac files are it's almost like recording your file to wave. You just need to download a player that plays flac files.Flac files can be 2 or 4 times the size of a 320kbps file. But I'm kool with him if he wants to contribute.Cus as you know I was sending you wma files which according to microsoft are better then mp3.But there is a big debate on that.So I had to find something to convert my wma files to mp3.And you can do this online for free at mediaconvert.com it let's you convert most file formats to mp3.Like wma m4a wav ram rm.Check out it's really easy site to use.So I have no problem with his contributions it just takes a few minutes to convert that's all.

I love this ... I would add last that the flac is good but not versatile. Its popularity would only ask for favors in my opinion. Stick to mp3's or or wma's
