CALLE & RIZZO present MIND PLAYIN' (ENERGY BUZZ)

Here's a record that's a bangin' track. One I know you can't grab anywhere else right now only here! Executive produced by the legend John "Jelly Bean" Benitez. When I first tried this out at the record spot I heard the first track starting and immediately knew I'm buying this b*tch! First because I remember going to clubs and listening to bits of "Conversation" and it was the closest to having that track as well. Secondly, I didn't find a copy of "Conversation" for a while and been wanting to find it for so long at the time. I also thought this was the "remix" to it but it isn't. Slammin' now classic and hard to find! Enjoy and tell us what you think. Peaceout!! ~MastrChief07

Tracklist:

A1 Mind Playin' (Energy Buzz) (Original Mix)
A2 Mind Playin' (Energy Buzz) (Dub Version)
B1 Mind Playin' (Energy Buzz) (Energy Crisis)
B2 Mind Playin' (Energy Buzz) (Avenue Dub)

Junior Boy's Own - The Collection

Junior Boy's Own is a London, UK-based brand specializing in dance music.

The label began c. 1991 as a property of the Boy's Own Recordings company, whose namesake was the Boy's Own Productions label. For a time, there were concurrent releases on Boy's Own (BOIX/BOX series), Collect Boy's Own (COLLECT series), and Junior Boy's Own (JBO and JNR 1- and 2-digit series, and non-V2 CHEM series). Eventually, Junior Boy's Own became the dominant brand and the company Junior Recordings Ltd. was formed around it. This company was superseded by JBO Limited.

The advent of Junior Records Ltd. marked a period of shifting label ownership and licensing confusion. Its Junior Boy's Own-branded JBO and JNR 7-digit series bookended its own Junior London-branded BRG series.

The company was, for a time, owned by V2, and co-branded releases have also been licensed through Parlophone and Virgin Records (with and without the Freestyle Dust brand).

Also see this Junior Boy's Own "work 2 doo" posted by Rob for any additional information that I have missed.

Beavis And Butthead Present "This Mix Really Sucks" B/W Give The DJ A Break "Latin House Mix '95"

What's up everybody. This 12" has been a frustrating one (had to redo it a couple of times). For one, it's a bootleg that had been recorded low, at least this one, and two, I got a defected one. Whereas there's a little bump or two on the vinyl of the "Give A DJ A Break" side which makes it jump about 2 maybe 3 times. Sorry I tried to clean it the best I could without taking alot out of it. Anyway, the Latin House Mix at the time was a hot mix to grab. The Beavis & Butthead side is a fun listen if you're into the duo from back in the days. There's no track listing available. But you may well know these tracks mixed in. I don't know who officially did these mixes. The mixes each side clock in just below 20 minutes each. Enjoy! ~MastrChief07

Vinyl Vault News

What’s up Vinyl Vault Family! Hope all is good! It’s spring again and we all felt that warm weather fever last weekend…and I tell you it felt great! This is the perfect weather for blasting great classics and it also gets me amp to do some vinyl ripping and deejaying. I’m glad to see some new faces are showing up on our blog and interacting with one another about music. I think our blog is the best place to get away from our daily stressful lives and share with others great music that we miss…music is a great healer. We have had the blog opened to the public for about 2-3 months now and the word around the net has been how great our blog is. As Rob mentioned before we do about 100 postings a month and it’s nothing but good quality classics…sorry that the files are protected with passwords but we are serious about whom we share our contributions with. We still get visitors requesting the password for our postings via email or thru the cbox I’m getting tired of repeating it over and over to the point that I decided just to ignore them, I know Rob still gets emails himself…Rob I would just ignore them if I were you. I know it sounds rude but why keep repeating things over and over? We keep pushing up the Post we did on password request and they just don’t get it. Any how if anyone has old New York Hot 97 all night house party radio rips like from DJs like Roman Ricardo, Little Louie Vega, & Frankie Bones. Would you kindly share it with us? I’ve been on the hunt for these mixes for such a long time and haven’t had any luck finding them. I know someone who has recorded them all will not share it at all what so ever! For what ever reason. I have posted a couple of them a few months ago but would like to hear more and share it with the vinyl vault family. I’m going to post one soon that I found in a box in my attic the tape was damaged a lot and I had to do some surgery on it to get it to play I already ripped one side of it have to rip side b the tape is Frankie Bones mixing live on Hot 97 at the time. So if you have any radio recorded tapes from the late 80s please share those great classics with us. We got so many great classics to share with everyone each day and as the weather gets hot so does our post. We also working on our Radio Mix show to get going again, I only aired one time about a couple weeks ago using a program called pirate radio and I had fun mixing live for 2 hours. Now we are looking into shout cast to stream live from and set up a player on the blog to do the mix show on a regular basis. Well that’s all for now I know half the stuff I wrote was said before by either me or Rob but it’s just to get the point across to the new visitors stopping by and letting everyone know what’s been going on with us. Peace to all. ---12inchjunkie, Rob, & Vinyl Vault Family.

DJ Danny F - The Vinyl Vault Mixshow Live 4-12-09

For those that missed the mix show last sunday I recorded the whole 2 hour set, The audio is somewhat distorted and there's a drop in sound in the middle of the set. I was trying to fix this in audacity but audacity is somewhat limited to what you can fix. But for now check out the set I start with an hour of freestyle then I go into classic House.

Seduction - Seduction

Seduction was a female dance-pop, urban contemporary, house music and freestyle trio from New York assembled and produced by Clivilles and Cole of C+C Music Factory, consisting of members Idalis DeLeon (born 15 June 1966), April Harris (born 25 March 1967) and Michelle Visage (born 20 September 1968).

Originally intended as a studio project, Seduction's second single "You're My One and Only (True Love)" featured uncredited lead vocals by Martha Wash.[1] The song ended up becoming a hit, and a group was then assembled for the recording of the album Nothing Matters Without Love and subsequent singles. Their biggest hit came in early 1990 with "Two to Make It Right", a #2 pop hit. In mid-1990 DeLeon left the group and was replaced by Sinoa Loren (born 6 December 1966). After a pair of hits with this line-up, the group broke up in 1991.

Thanks For Hearing The Vinyl Vault Mix Show Last Night!

I want to thank the people that got a chance to listen to the vinyl vault mix show last night. I know the radio stream quality wasn’t that great I’m planning on changing to another radio stream with better quality and I can place it on the blog that way you won’t have to go to another website to hear the live mixing. I’m also getting a new internet service provider I’m cancelling Comcast and going with Verizon Fios…If you haven’t heard of Fios the internet speed is way faster then cable! Up to 50 megabits per second that very fast compared to 10 mbps that cable uses. Leecher’s are going to jump on this quick...lol! I wanted to ask any of our members if they would be interested in doing a rotation on the mix show on certain nights. You can either do a mix live or do your sets pre-recorded and I will air it on the radio, I know Rob is going to be doing some mixing for the show also. I want to know who else would be interested. Shoot me an email at djdannyf29@gmail.com. And For those that missed the 2 hour set I'm going to put it up for download on Thursday. 12inchjunkie

First Choice - Let No Man Put Asunder

A ‘must-have’ in any DJ case and a ‘must-be’ on every ‘all time Disco list’, “Let No Man Put Asunder” was much more than a feminist anthem or underground Disco hit, as it represented a standard for a whole generation.

The acappella of this timeless Disco classic is arguably among the most sampled ever in the history of the Dance Music, just like was the music from Kraftwerk or The J.B.’s.

Shep Pettibone’s version for “Let No Man Put Asunder” on A side became an instant classic; the single also had a version by the Warehouse resident DJ Frankie Knuckles on the opposite side. The acappella and the fact that both versions were made by heros of the quality music scene from that time made this the most special release of this classic.

Strange as it may seem, the credits for this tune point the production date on 1977, but this single in particular with its versions and acappella was only released years later, in 1983. This was therefore the first pressing with the quintessential acappella by the diva Rochelle Fleming, a true relic. Review from Discogs
